The board of directors of the International Monetary Fund announced Monday evening October 11 that it was renewing
"its full confidence"
in Kristalina Georgieva, thus maintained in the post of Managing Director despite accusations of irregularities to which she was the subject.

The governing bodies of the institution considered that the information presented during the investigation did not allow to conclude to
"an inappropriate role"
of the Bulgarian economist.
For her part, Kristalina Georgieva immediately welcomed this decision saying that these allegations were
"unfounded"
