Oil prices rose today due to expectations of an increase in demand for crude in light of the rise in natural gas prices.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose 28 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $83.46 a barrel, after declining 0.3 percent yesterday.
US West Texas crude contracts also rose 22 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $80.66 a barrel, after falling 0.3 percent the previous day.
