The Middle Empire bulldozer is on the move. While the global production of anti-Covid vaccines will exceed 12 billion doses by the end of the year, half should come from Chinese manufacturers, according to the British research firm Airfinity. This is twice more than the 3 billion doses that the European Union plans to manufacture in 2021. While no Chinese vaccine has been authorized in Europe and the United States where only Western sera are marketed (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna , AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson), the production of the Middle Kingdom is shipped to more than 110 countries around the world.
Most of the vaccines are manufactured by four manufacturers, Sinovac, Sinopharm, CanSino and Anhui Zhifei Longcom.
But it is the private laboratory Sinovac (60% of production) and Sinopharm (36.5%), owned by the State, which provide the bulk of the doses due to their strike force.
Beijing has not authorized the marketing of foreign vaccines at this stage
