Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced today that Russia has recorded record levels of food consumption

Moscow-Sana

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced today that Russia has recorded record levels of gas consumption in the domestic market this year, pointing out his country's readiness to consider increasing exports to Europe.

Novak explained in a program on the "Russia 1" TV channel that recording these record levels at home is due to the active economic recovery in the post-crisis period.

Novak pointed out that Russia has removed a larger amount of gas storage facilities underground than usual, and this requires pumping into these facilities.

In response to a question about whether Russia lacks enough gas for the European market because of this, Novak said: "We have an opportunity to implement contracts if there are additional requests..of course..that can be considered, but there are no requests for Russia to provide additional quantities of gas." .

This year, Russia plans to complete the season of pumping gas to underground storage facilities by the first of next November.
