In a press release published on Monday, the association urges road users to sign its petition:
"Fuels: for lower taxes for lower prices
" which "
calls for a reduction in the VAT rate on fuels from 20 to 5.5%, considering that these are essential products that motorists cannot do without, like gas or electricity, which benefit from this reduced rate of VAT ”
.
"A reduction in the VAT rate to 5.5% would save 18 to 20 cents on each liter of fuel, which would give the French a little purchasing power"
, adds Daniel Quéro, leader of the association. A measure also advocated by the socialist presidential candidate Anne Hidalgo, in early October.

because it gives the same compensation to the person with a "
