The Booking company is sentenced to a fine of 1.2 million euros for non-compliance with the tourism code.
The sum must be paid to the City of Paris.
According to the court, “the
company incorporated under Dutch law disregarded the provisions of Article L.324-2-1 of the Tourism Code by not communicating to the City of Paris, on March 7, 2020 the numbers of declaration and declaration of main residence of 3,085 furnished tourist accommodation offered for rent in Paris through its platform www.booking.com ”
