While he already announced Wednesday, October 13 that measures were under study, Gabriel Attal gave a layer on Tuesday at the microphone of RTL, evoking a decision "by the end of the week".
“What matters to us is making a decision and having a measure that is simple, that is fair, and that is effective,” he stressed.
However, he did not specify what form these “protective measures” will take for consumers in the face of rising prices at the pump.

“We are working on it, all the leads are on the table.
There is the question of taxes, and the question of a check, of specific assistance for people who use their car and who are subject to this increase, ”he recalled.
"No track excluded"
Asked about a possible reduction in taxes, he repeated that there was "no excluded track".
As for a fuel check, "it is also a possibility".
“The ideal is to have direct help targeted to the people who need it,” he said.
But he said "to also hear" the French who say they are "always above the thresholds" and in the end not being able to benefit from direct aid.

The track of a fuel check was mentioned Monday, October 18 by Bruno Le Maire and the Minister of Energy Transition, Barbara Pompili, who also pointed out the obstacles to be lifted to set up such a device.
“We don't have a database of people who need their car to go to work,” Ms. Pompili explained, for example.
Be that as it may, Gabriel Attal assured the will of the government to support the French "most affected" in a period of rising prices which "is likely to last several months".
