The selection committee, chaired by Bernard Blistène, director of the National Museum of Modern Art at the Center Pompidou, received some 3,000 applications.

"Invent these new worlds"

"Many people were hoping for 'the world after' after the pandemic, we now want to invent these new worlds, this initiative that we will unveil in a few days"

, declared the Head of State, during this reception organized in the day before the opening of the Fiac.

Among the guests received at the Élysée Wednesday evening were internationally recognized artists, such as Daniel Buren, the German visual artist Anselm Kiefer or the designer Ora-Ito.
