"Space is underutilized."
At the end of the 300th council of the European Space Agency (Esa), Joseph Aschbacher, its director general, did not mince his words on Thursday.
“However, by making better use of our infrastructures, space can provide solutions to major human challenges: energy transition, resilience in the face of natural disasters and the protection of our assets in orbit.
These are the three “accelerators” that we have identified. ”
ESA believes that these three accelerators are likely to lead to new European programs likely to strengthen the industry and develop new markets.
