Citeo, the eco-organization which manages the collection and recycling of household waste (glass, cardboard, aluminum, paper or plastic) on behalf of these marketers, is on the offensive.
Object of the tension: the management of household plastic waste (bottles, yoghurt pots, trays, etc.), on which Citeo, as a body approved by the State, has undertaken to ensure 100% sorting of by the end of 2022. Enough to allow the French to get rid of all their plastic packaging in the yellow bin within a year, to then ensure their 100% recycling.
To achieve this goal, all the players agreed in 2015 on a vast program to modernize sorting centers.
