The value of sales of the Arab Medical Company “Tamico” of medicines during the first nine months of this year exceeded 12.3 billion pounds, an increase of 216 percent over the same period last year, with the value of production reaching more than 12.6 billion pounds, an increase of 232 percent.

According to the company’s marketing and production report, which SANA obtained a copy of, the production plan’s implementation rate was 171 percent, and it included more than 50 pharmaceutical preparations of various pharmaceutical forms, including 39,000 capsules and more than 94,000 tablets.

According to the report, the company sold more than 12.3 billion pounds, with an implementation rate of 167 percent, including 42 thousand capsules and 95 thousand tablets.

Regarding the production of antibiotics, the general manager of the company, Dr. Fida Ali, said in a statement to SANA that there are large and sufficient stocks in the company of pharmaceutical groups used as antibiotics, including capsules, syrups and tablets, stressing that there is no shortage of production quantities or the raw materials needed for their production.

Dr. Ali indicated that the company is seeking to supply a line for the production of ointments, but the unjust siege imposed on the country and its economic repercussions have led to the suppliers' reluctance to contract with the company on long-term contracts.
