Oil prices fell today, and Brent crude is about to record its first weekly loss in seven weeks, as demand for oil products in the power generation sector slows amid falling coal and gas prices.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell 50 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $84.11 a barrel, after declining $1.21 in the previous session, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 49 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $82.01 a barrel, after losing 92 cents yesterday.
