The Ministry of Transport has completed one million six hundred thousand transactions through the electronic program for vehicle transactions since the beginning of this year to date.

The Director of Road Transport, Mahmoud Asaad, said in a statement to SANA that the new program constituted a qualitative leap in the field of automating work in the transport directorates in terms of speed and simplification of procedures, whether in registration processes for the first time or the transfer or demarcation of vehicle restrictions, as well as in the case of periodic checks, payment of annual fees and renewal of vehicle licenses .

Asaad pointed to the role of the program by making the transport directorates in all governorates work as one directorate so that the citizen can take all the required procedures in any directorate, regardless of the place of registration of the vehicle, which saved the transportation and travel expenses of citizens and those accompanying them from heirs, sellers or buyers. “Sometimes one transaction includes 6 one or more individuals.

Transport directorates in all governorates registered 32,312 new vehicles of all categories this year, and nearly 176 thousand ownership transfer transactions were completed, according to Asaad, who explained that the financial revenues achieved this year amounted to about 100 billion Syrian pounds, including 97 billion through electronic payment alone. .
