" of civil servants in the "

Amélie de Montchalin referred the current candidate for the presidential nomination of LR to her record as Minister of the Budget under the presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy: "

Emmanuel Macron had promised him in 2017 to cut 120,000 positions, 70,000 in local authorities and 50,000 positions in the State civil service, an objective abandoned in July 2019. The 2022 budget confirms a stable workforce of the State civil service during the entire five-year term.
