Gold prices rose today and approached the $1800 level as the US currency weakened.
Reuters reported that the price of gold rose in spot transactions 0.3 percent to 1797.81 dollars an ounce.
And US gold futures rose 0.1 percent to $ 1797.20.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.5% to $24.43 an ounce, platinum rose 0.2% to $1042.23 and palladium rose 0.6 percent to $2033.21.
