The chemical industries gain 6.7 billion pounds in 9 months

Damascus, SANA- The General Organization for Chemical Industries estimated the profits of its affiliated companies during the first nine months

The General Corporation for Chemical Industries estimated the profits of its subsidiaries during the first nine months of this year at about 6.7 billion pounds, the highest in the Arab Medical Company Tamico at about 3 billion pounds, followed by illiterate paints 2.5 billion pounds.

According to the production and marketing report of the institution, SANA obtained a copy of it. Its companies sold at a value of about 28.3 billion pounds, with a rate of implementation of 125 percent of the sales plan, which achieved the highest value in Tamico, reaching 12.3 billion pounds, then the Shoes Company 5.8 billion and the General Company for Paints 4.7 billion pounds. The report showed that sales increased by 225 percent compared to the previous year, when it approached 12.6 billion pounds.

The corporation’s companies produced from the beginning of the year until last September at a value of 29.8 billion pounds, with a rate of implementation of 132 percent of the plan amounting to 22.6 billion pounds. Tamico obtained the largest part of the production value at about 12.6 billion pounds, followed by the General Paints with a value of 6.1 billion pounds, and the shoes company by about 5.8 billion pounds.

Compared to the same period in 2020, the rate of development in production amounted to 214 percent, when it amounted to about 13.9 billion pounds in actual value.

According to the director of the foundation, Dr. Osama Abu Fakhr, the value of the companies’ stocks has increased by about 2.1 billion since the beginning of the year, reaching about 8 billion pounds until the end of September 2021, compared to about 5.8 billion pounds at the beginning of the year, noting that the increase in stocks mainly in Tamico and Umayyah Paints is in Its natural and marketed boundaries.

In a statement to the SANA representative, Abu Fakhr affirmed the support of the corporation's subsidiaries, overcoming the obstacles they face, providing financial liquidity and raw materials for some of them to continue production, securing the needs of the local market and public sector entities of their products, and helping in marketing these products.
