Whatever her education, background or age, every woman in France must be able to benefit from the same opportunities as men.
This is the spirit of the law proposal (PPL) by LREM MP Marie-Pierre Rixain, which aims to accelerate economic and professional equality between the sexes.
Voted unanimously on May 12, at first reading in the National Assembly, it will be examined from this Wednesday in the Senate.

While only Catherine MacGregor, at Engie, heads a large CAC 40 group, and 11 women are at the head of one of the 120 largest listed companies in France, the flagship article of this PPL provides that companies from more than 1000 employees publish, each year, a gendered photograph of the 10% of positions with the highest responsibility.
The aim of this provision is to achieve more balance between the two, in the comex and the codirs.
