As November 1 approaches,

takes stock of what is changing with the arrival of this new month:
Revaluation of pensions by 1%
The amount of Agirc and Arrco supplementary pensions is revalued to
1%
from November 1, 2021. This revaluation concerns former private sector employees who benefit from an annual supplementary pension amount which is added to the basic social security scheme. .
The annual amount of the supplementary pension is calculated by multiplying the number of points acquired during the career, by the value of the point.
The service value of the Agirc-Arrco point is indexed to the evolution of consumer prices excluding tobacco and rose this year to € 1.2841 against € 1.2714 in 2019 and 2020. This increase, lower than expected, concerns the approximately 13 million private retirees.
The increase in gas prices postponed
Adopted by the government against a backdrop of soaring gas prices, they will be frozen when they should have increased by around 15% after climbing 12.6% in October.

The era of television license fees and housing tax
The payment deadlines for the housing tax for the main accommodation are set for November 15 if you pay by TIPSEPA or by check, and November 20 if you pay electronically. If today nearly 80% of households are exempt from housing tax on main residences, it remains a gradual abolition which may or may not apply depending on income. From 2023, no household will pay housing tax on its main residence.

Winter tires or chains required in certain regions
In line with the Mountain II law of 2016, new vehicle equipment obligations are expected for the winter in order to limit traffic jams and avoid accidents on mountain roads. From Monday, and for the entire winter period

, fitting your car with winter tires or having chains becomes compulsory in some municipalities. The map of the areas concerned is available on the government website. This date also marks a new sign which will be gradually implemented to indicate the entrances and exits of mountain areas where the winter equipment obligation will be in force.
Tolerance during the winter of 2021:

End of the extension of terraces in Paris
The Parisian terraces had gained another month.
As of November 1, the so-called “
ephemeral
” then “
summer
”
terraces
must be removed in accordance with the new municipal by-law which provides for their return each year from April 1 to October 31.
Parisian bars and restaurants which had been able to extend their terraces on the sidewalks or parking spaces thanks to the Covid-19 to promote outdoor gatherings must repack.
From Monday, these ephemeral terraces will officially disappear.

Some police checks will no longer be reported on Waze
A new text comes into force on November 1.

Launch of the winter break
