The companies affiliated with the General Organization for Engineering Industries with a value of 133,465 billion pounds during the first nine months of this year produced 148 percent of the companies' production plan, achieving a development rate of 218 percent over the same period last year, which recorded 61 billion pounds.
According to the production and marketing report of the institution, of which SANA obtained a copy, the Hama Steel Company came first with a production value of 58.414 billion pounds, Damascus cables second with about 57.770 billion pounds, Aleppo cables 9,587 billion pounds, metal constructions 5,712 billion, Aleppo batteries 930 million pounds, and the manufacturing industries of 561 million pounds.
The report indicated that the corporation's companies sold since the beginning of the year until last September at a value of 132.927 billion pounds, with an implementation rate of 118 percent of the sales plan, an increase of 224 percent over the same period last year.
Damascus Cable Company came first with sales value of 60.3 billion pounds, Hama steel 55.391 billion, Aleppo cables 9.888 billion pounds, steel construction 5,790 billion pounds, Aleppo batteries 579 million pounds, and Canar Manufacturing Industries 513 million pounds.
According to the report, companies’ stocks rose by 1,475 billion pounds from the beginning of this year, reaching their value by the end of last September to 11.8 billion pounds, and most of them are fully marketed, according to the Director General of the Corporation, Eng. Asaad Warda, who explained that the Corporation, with its concerned companies, has dealt with the issue of loans owed by Barada, sulfur and metal construction companies. and tractors.
Warda pointed out, in a statement to SANA’s representative, to the profits and business achieved by the companies, including the Hama Steel Company, which gained 28.283 billion pounds until the third quarter of this year. It also signed with several companies and institutions from the public sector to supply scrap available to them, while the Damascus Cable Company earned 16.100 billion pounds, and it contracted for Purchasing an isolation machine 60 and with the Housing Corporation to expand the production hall and periodic maintenance, in addition to purchasing a device for checking telephone cables.
As for Aleppo Cables Company, it achieved, according to Warda, profits estimated at 5,183 billion pounds, and its cadres repaired three machines in the company, indicating that the profits of Aleppo batteries amounted to 413 million pounds, as it produced lead oxide and plaque, which is one of the components of the internal battery. An added value, and it is currently producing liquid batteries from 55 amps to 245 amps with high specifications and quality, while the profits of the Metal Construction Company amounted to 1.100 billion pounds.
