Today, the Syrian Trade Corporation began to extract citrus from farmers in the governorates of Lattakia and Tartous directly, to sell them in the establishment's halls in all governorates as part of government support measures for farmers to reduce costs for them.

The General Supervisor of Al-Hal Markets Wholesale Centers in the governorates affiliated with the Foundation, Engineer Waseem Maati, explained to the representative of SANA that the types currently rented, which will be offered in the halls currently, are the first French carmentina at a price of 700 Syrian pounds, the Shoma carmentina at 850 pounds, the first Abu Zara orange at 925 Syrian pounds, and the second Abu Zara at 750 Syrian pounds. One lira and Meyer lemons first at a price of 550 liras, to be expanded on the types as soon as they are produced.

And Maati indicated that the quantity that arrived this morning at Al-Hal market in Damascus is 20 tons, and will reach this evening the amount of 30 tons, as the daily quantity will increase sequentially to be sorted, packed, and supplied to the halls in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside. Sending other quantities to the northern, eastern, central and southern governorates of Lattakia and Tartous.

Muati pointed out that the Syrian intervention in trade by canceling intermediate commissions and providing transportation and packaging fees comes as a service to the farmer and the consumer at the same time, indicating that the institution will continue to market and sell the material in its halls, in addition to storing additional quantities in refrigeration units with the aim of launching and promoting the product in the period of low production.
