These air carriers have however been brought to their knees by the pandemic.
And their exclusive positioning on long-haul, a longer activity to restart, seemed to weaken them.
Not to mention that business travel, the main source of their profits, is almost at a standstill today and may not return to pre-pandemic levels.
But these groups have found ways to limit the damage.
