A Saint-Emilion grand cru has taken legal action to cancel the sale for 75 million euros of a neighboring château to the Clarins cosmetics group, claiming to have been “injured” by the Société d'aménagement foncier et d ' rural establishment (Safer), we learned Tuesday from its manager.

Mathieu Cuvelier, manager of Clos Fourtet, Premier Grand Cru Classé B of Saint-Emilion, told AFP that he felt he was the

Nullity of the requested sale

Me Christine Jaïs, lawyer of Clos Fourtet, explained to AFP that the Cuvelier family requested the nullity of the sale of Beauséjour on the grounds in particular that the decision of Safer was

"irregular"

and that the conditions attached to this decision were not had

A first hearing is scheduled for December 6 at the Libourne court.

Mathieu Cuvelier also said he hoped that this judicial process would allow
