Wall Street closed higher today.
According to Reuters, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 57.34 points, or 0.16 percent, to 36,144.79 points, while the benchmark Standard & Poor's 500 index ended the trading session up 17.68 points, or 0.40 percent, to 4701.144 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 118.68 points, or 0.75 percent, to close at 15,972.52 points. .
Shares of Home Depot retailer jumped more than five percent to close at a record high, posting the biggest one-day gain in percentage terms since April 2020 after it reported quarterly earnings that beat expectations by nearly $2 billion.
