Arkema fully intends to ride the wave of clean mobility.
The leading French chemist on Friday inaugurated a center of excellence dedicated to batteries in Pierre-Bénite, near Lyon, where one of its R&D centers and one of its factories are already located.
About twenty people, including electrochemical engineers, were hired. Their number is expected to double by 2028.

The opportunity for the group to display new ambitions: batteries should generate a turnover of close to 1 billion euros by 2030, against less than 100 million euros
