Inflation has accelerated for several months in France, as at the global level, linked to the recovery of the economy after the first waves of the Covid-19 epidemic. In France, the rise in prices has accelerated since the summer: inflation was only 1.2% over one year in July, then 1.9% in August and 2.2% in September. Inflation compared to November 2020 is driven by an acceleration in the prices of energy, manufactured products and to a lesser extent services, specifies INSEE. However, the rise in energy prices is slowing over a month, and the prices of services accelerate while those of food rebound, and the rise in the prices of manufactured products continues at the same pace, details the Institute.
Finally, the harmonized consumer price index (HICP), which serves as a basis for comparison at European level, rose 3.4% in November over one year, after 3.2% in October.
Over one month, it grew by 0.4%, like the previous month.
