Russia and Belarus have agreed on practical plans for the implementation of the joint union programs between them in the gas and electricity markets.

"Work is underway on an agreement on the formation of a single market for electricity," Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich was quoted by TASS news agency as noting that cooperation between his country and Russia would also focus on the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

On November 9, the Belarusian Ministry of Energy announced that Karankevich and Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov had signed a protocol on gas prices for Belarus in 2022.
