Oil prices fell today, with OPEC Plus sticking to its policy of gradually increasing production at a time when the Omicron mutator from the Corona virus affects the markets and threatens to limit the demand for fuel.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell $1.21, or 1.7 percent, to $67.66 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell $1.24 to $64.33 a barrel.
