The Supreme Investment Council, in its sixth periodic meeting for the current year headed by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, conducted a follow-up to the executive steps of the projects that were granted licensing in accordance with Investment Law No. 18 of 2021, which included the generation of electric power using solar panels, renewable energies, cancer drugs, furniture for educational and research laboratories, and production of materials medical.

The Council stressed the continuation of providing facilities and overcoming any obstacles to the implementation of these projects according to the specified time schedule, and reviewed the requests for projects submitted to obtain investment permits in a number of fields, including the manufacture of agricultural and organic fertilizers, the production of solvents and raw materials for pesticides and paints, soybean era, the manufacture of plastic threads and photovoltaic power generation And the production of medical supplies, the manufacture of infant formula, and the refining and packaging of vegetable oils.

The council asked the ministries to provide the Investment Authority with data on priority projects to be implemented to present them to investors and the need to set a timetable for each project and adhere to it in order to benefit from the advantages granted by the law, calling on the authority to continuously communicate with investors and provide them with facilities.

Engineer Arnous stressed the need to prepare a database on the existing industrial projects and the available production capacity, and to provide the Investment Authority with it to provide sound advice to the investor to avoid reaching a large surplus from the local market need and the occurrence of bottlenecks in the disposal of products internally and externally, explaining the importance of expanding the establishment of agricultural industrial projects, both plant and animal, to secure Domestic market need and export surplus.
