13,000 employees worldwide of the German company Sartorius will benefit from an exceptional end-of-year bonus for their efforts.

Based in Göttingen, in Lower Saxony in central Germany, the Sartorius company has decided to give its employees a nice end-of-year gift.

The company, which supplies laboratory equipment with a presence in around 30 countries and around 20 production plants around the world, will pay an exceptional bonus to 13,000 employees, for a total of 20 million euros.

In Germany, this special bonus will amount to 1,500 euros per employee.

“The massive increase in demand for our innovative solutions which are used in the development and production of vaccines and drugs has been a challenge for our employees,” explains the company adding: “They have gone the extra mile this year to make sure that we can reliably provide our customers with the products they need so much.

We would like to warmly thank them for their efforts.

"

Already last year, Sartorius had already paid a total of 10 million euros in coronavirus bonuses to 10,000 employees.

In full growth

It must be said that this company is doing well, even very well.

Since the start of the year, its profit has climbed to nearly 509 million euros with sales up nearly 53% to around 2.1 billion euros.

Sartorius now expects annual sales of € 4 billion in 2025.

As a result of this growth, since the start of the year, the group has hired more than 2,000, ie an increase of around 27% of its total workforce.

And this dynamism will benefit its French subsidiary Sartorius Stedim Biotech (SSB).

Satorius has just announced an investment of 100 million euros in France between 2021 and 2025 which will result in the creation of 400 jobs on its sites in Aubagne, Cergy, Dourdan and Lourdes.

Sartorius is not the only company to make a gesture towards its employees.

In October, Ikea already announced that it wanted to pay 110 million euros in Covid bonuses for its employees.
