"I really want to reassure them: we are going to put in place a partial activity, 100% support therefore without any remaining expenses for the employer, to continue to protect jobs", assured Élisabeth Borne on LCI.

Referring first to a threshold of 80% decrease in turnover necessary for this support, the minister finally explained that it would be clarified with the professionals.

“We will look with the sectors to see what the right number is (…) We want to support these sectors so that they are not in difficulty,” said Élisabeth Borne.

In recent days, event professionals - and in particular caterers - have faced an avalanche of cancellations, a number of companies having given up on seminars or festive end-of-year events due to the new wave of contamination. .

Nightclubs "don't deserve to be penalized"

The Minister in charge of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Alain Griset, must consult, this Tuesday from 1 p.m., event professionals and discotheques.

As part of a trip to Vierzon, Emmanuel Macron pledged that nightclubs reopen "as soon as possible".

For now, they are closed for at least four weeks.

"You must not believe that you are stigmatized", assured the Head of State, but unlike restaurants and bars, where "we are seated", "most of the time we are not around. a table ”in nightclubs, he justified.

For Frédéric Pitrou, member of the French Event Trades Union, partial activity is not the only expected measure.

The delegate general calls for new exemptions from charges and the postponement of the repayment of loans guaranteed by the State.

"Companies in the sector have not had the capacity to reform reserves," he lamented to AFP on Tuesday.

Representatives of nightclubs and venues strongly criticized the measures announced on Monday by Jean Castex, such as the SNEG & Co union: the operators, employees and customers of the discotheques “have accepted the vaccination scheme (and) do not deserve to be penalized to compensate for the lack of vaccination of the rest of the adult population, ”protested the organization.
