Obaid explained that the conference, which is organized in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, will be launched with the participation of more than 50 commercial and industrial companies from Syria and Iraq and a number of businessmen in the two countries, in parallel with the first export exhibition in the exhibition city in Damascus, and there is great reliance on its results during the next year in supporting the re-run phase. reconstruction in Syria.

The Secretary-General of the group, Dr. Majid Al-Raqbi, indicated that the Syrian professions and industries will have an important role in terms of cooperation and exchange of experiences in the activity witnessed by the industrial and commercial sector in Iraq and its eight industrial cities, pointing to the importance of the forum and exhibition and their expected role in the phase of reconstruction and expansion of partnerships with neighboring countries.

The program of the forum, which continues until the middle of this month and is held in cooperation with the unions of chambers of industry, chambers of commerce and contractors in Syria and Iraq, according to Al-Rugby, includes holding joint business meetings, economic seminars and field work visits to see the Syrian market and opportunities for trade exchange between the two sides.

For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, Talal Qala Ji, explained that the forum will be a translation of the common interest between the two countries to develop economic, commercial and industrial relations in all its forms and to exchange scientific, industrial and economic experiences between them. In its war against terrorism, in addition to government facilities to develop and expand investment horizons.

Engineer Muhammad al-Naasan, media coordinator of the Contractors Union, considered that the forum is a qualitative step for greater cooperation with the Iraqi brothers and enhances communication and partnership for Arab and friendly private sector companies and contributes to removing obstacles and challenges to the development of these relations that would advance the process of economic, commercial and construction growth and break the economic siege imposed on Syria .
