Oil prices fell today more than 2% amid fears that the imposition of new restrictions to combat the spread of the new strain of Corona or Micron will reduce demand for fuel.

Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell by $1.92, or 2.6 percent, to $71.60 a barrel.

US West Texas Intermediate crude fell $2.09, or 3 percent, to $68.77 a barrel.
