The value of the General Company for Metallurgical Industries in Barada’s sales during 2021 exceeded 1.9 billion Syrian pounds, which enables it to rely on its local resources in terms of disbursing workers’ wages, as this will be applied as of next month, according to its general manager, Engineer Ali Abbas.
In a statement to SANA’s representative, Eng. Abbas indicated that the wages of Barada workers are currently being paid by the General Organization for Engineering Industries to which the company is affiliated, pointing out that it is currently preparing in coordination with the administration of the Syrian Trade Establishment to sell its products to workers in the government sector in installments starting from 2022.
Abbas explained that the company was able during 2021 to restore a large part of its strength in the local market after its cadres of management and workers intensified their efforts to diversify the types of its products and offer them at competitive prices that are less than their counterparts in the market by up to 20%, indicating that the company is currently producing 15 items with various sizes from Refrigerators, washing machines and fans, in addition to desk fridges, ovens, gas and electric heaters, Kooler water cooler and fruit blender.
In addition to presenting its products in its halls in various governorates, according to Eng. Abbas, the company has succeeded in supplying these products to the halls of both the Military and Syrian Social Trade Institutions, and preparations are underway to open a new hall for the company in Aleppo.
