The parade of appointments of Israelis to senior positions at Intel continues.

Two of them were even promoted to the senior rank of Corporate Vice President.

Intel Global appoints 10 Israelis to senior positions: Karin Ibschitz Segal, CEO of Intel Israel Development Centers, and Daniel Ben-Atar, Co-CEO of Intel's manufacturing plants, were promoted to the senior rank of Corporate Vice President.

Earlier this year, Shlomit Weiss was appointed senior vice president (Senior VP) upon re-joining Intel and in fact, this is the first time that two Israeli executives are in such senior ranks.

The management of Intel Israel stated "This is an Israeli pride. Intel Global continues to promote the executives of Intel Israel to lead global strategic activities from Israel. The new appointments:

  • Karin Eibschitz-Segal

    was appointed Vice President of Corporate Vice President.

    Ibschitz-Segal currently leads Intel's global validation organization and is responsible for ensuring that Intel's processors in the field of personal computing and servers reach the market with the highest quality.

    In addition, Ibschitz-Segal is the CEO of Intel Israel's development centers, which develop groundbreaking products in the fields of computing, communications, security and artificial intelligence, and are an essential part of Intel's global operations.

  • Daniel Ben Atar

    has been appointed Corporate Vice President of Intel's Global Production Division.

    In his current position, Ben Atar serves as Global Manager, Co-CEO of all of Intel's manufacturing plants. .

    Ben Atar holds a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics and a master's degree in physics from the Hebrew University.

  • Oren Cohen

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Intel's Global Production Group.

    In his current position, Oren manages a joint venture of 28FAB in Kiryat Gat.

    Cohen has professional and managerial experience in a large number of disciplines of manufacturing processes within the clean room.

    He holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear and electrical engineering and a master's degree in electro-optical engineering, both from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

  • Itai Yogev

    has been appointed Vice President (VP). He currently serves with me as the director of Intel's Global Excellence Center for Artificial Intelligence in the IT group. As part of his role, Yogev is responsible for using artificial intelligence to improve Intel's critical activities in order to create a competitive advantage for the company. For example, by introducing artificial intelligence into the processors themselves, or by shortening the duration of testing to processors in order to increase product quality using learning-based algorithms. Yogev has worked at Intel since his days as an engineering, industrial and management student at Ben-Gurion University, and co-founded the organization he heads today.

  • Noam Avni

    has been appointed Vice President (VP).

    In his current position, Noam manages the global analog & mixed signal IPs group.

    The group develops the serial and parallel communication channels in the processor, including access to memories, cloud components, graphics and traffic from the silicon components.

    In addition, he serves as the CEO of the Intel Jerusalem Development Campus. Avni holds a bachelor's degree in electronics from the Technion.

  • Amir Yitzhaki

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Intel's chip design and development organization.

    In his current role, he manages Intel's validation labs around the world, and is responsible for integrating software and hardware systems, along with managing and developing automation and machine learning solutions, in order for the processors to hit the market in the highest quality.

    Yitzhaki has a bachelor's and master's degree from the Hebrew University with a specialization in information systems.

  • Tomer Sasson

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Intel's personal computing group. Sasson is the 12th generation system manager for Intel Core processors, which were officially launched about two months ago, and the next generation project manager for Intel processors. He has previously managed a range of systems development projects, including Sandy Bridge and Ultrabooks. Sasson has held various positions at Intel for 25 years and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion.

  • Dr. Adar Clear

    has been appointed Intel Fellow (Technological Equivalent to Vice President) as Head of Production Sciences in the Production and Testing Division. For production management, equipment and machine performance, outputs and cycle times on the chips' production lines, along with lowering production costs and streamlining work processes. Holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Performance Research from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the United States.

  • July Mandelblatt

    was appointed Intel Fellow in the chip design and development group. In his role he is leading the development of the next-generation architecture of Intel processors for desktops and laptops, among other things he is responsible for the development of the hybrid architecture that has allowed Intel a significant leap in the performance of 12th generation processors that Intel recently launched. Mandelblatt holds over 20 patents in the field and a bachelor's and master's degree from the Moscow University of Transportation.

  • Itamar Levin

    has been appointed Intel Fellow.

    As part of his role, he serves as a lead architect in Intel's chip design and development group.

    Levin is currently leading the development of the "SERDES IP" architecture for servers, which is the physical layer on which communication between servers in the data center is conducted, mainly according to Ethernet standards that allow data transfer at a particularly high rate, up to 224 gigabits per second per channel.

    In the past, Levin has held a variety of technological and managerial positions at Intel and other high-tech companies.

    Levin holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technion and a master's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Tel Aviv University, as well as a master's degree in business administration from Harriet Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Intel's earlier appointments to senior positions

  • Eran Sudek

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) of the Chip Development and Planning Group.

    In his current role, Sudek is leading a group that believes in defining the architecture of Intel's future generation processors.

    He has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics as part of the "Talpiot" program of excellence, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University.

  • Nadav Orbach

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) and Director of the Computer Vision and Cameras Division at Intel, which develops hardware and software solutions embedded in the field of computing, robotics and IoT.

    Orbach holds a bachelor's degree in physics and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with honors from the Technion and a master's degree in business administration from Tel Aviv University.

  • Rida Masaru

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) and head of construction engineering at Intel plants around the world.

    As part of his role, he is in charge of a team of about 150 engineers at Intel, and more than 2,000 external engineers who are jointly responsible for the design, construction and conversion of Intel's most innovative plants around the world.

  • Tzachi Weisfeld

    has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Intel's Global Innovation Group.

    Weissfeld is the director of Intel's global program Ignite - Intel's global accelerator program for startups.
