The Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which included supporting the proposal of the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Trade and Agriculture and Agrarian Reform to include the establishment of facilities for drying maize fodder within the import substitution program.
The establishment of these facilities will encourage farmers to grow the crop as it facilitates the drying process, increases the quality of their products and improves their marketing capacity, in addition to expanding by increasing the areas planted with this substance.
The fodder maize is one of the important crops as it is a raw material that enters into the mix of feed materials, which directly affects the prices of many materials in the local markets.
