The Paris Bourse is preparing to complete its best year for more than twenty years.
Its flagship index has jumped 29.30% since January 2021, closing at nearly 7,200 points.
After breaking its record last spring of June 2007, before the financial crisis, the CAC 40 exceeded its all-time high of September 4, 2000 at the beginning of November, just before the explosion of the internet bubble.
The Omicron variant almost ruined the party at the end of the year.
But, once again, the market moved forward down the home stretch.
All forecasts, even the most optimistic, have been exceeded.
The Paris Bourse outperforms most other exchanges.
It even manages to beat Wall Street, whose three main indices are recording more modest increases: 27.5% for the S&P 500, 19% for the Dow Jones and 22.5% for the Nasdaq Composite.
