The revenues of the operational investment activity of the Syrian General Insurance Corporation since the beginning of 2021 until the end of last November exceeded 44 billion Syrian pounds, and the compensation granted to the insured in terms of health, fire, engineering, cars and others is about 27 billion pounds.

The Corporation has achieved an important achievement, which is the restructuring of the health insurance policy for workers in the administrative sector in the country in order to avoid problems and cover the large differences paid by the worker inside and outside hospitals. The hospital is 200 thousand pounds.

The Foundation was able to complete a qualitative agreement with the Military Medical Services Department to include the hospitals of the Ministry of Defense in its medical network and to provide health services at the doctor and within the Ministry’s hospitals for its insured at a rate of zero percent, meaning it became free, while it continues its efforts to include the police hospitals in the institution’s medical network with the aim of providing health services to the insured It has it in these hospitals and at the doctor and its affiliated laboratories and pharmacies.

With regard to the financial investment aspect, the Corporation invested part of its technical reserves, estimated at about 20 billion, by linking “short or long-term” investment deposits in banks operating according to the best offers presented, which ultimately reflects positively on the financial and economic situation of the Corporation in general.

The institution signed health and life insurance agreements with the National Union of Syrian Students, the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers and the Syrian Telecom Company to provide insurance services to its insured from these parties, in addition to setting up a guide to misuse of health insurance to control cases of violations and abuses from all parties to the insurance process, whether they are service providers, insured or companies Managing medical expenses.

The discounts offered by the Foundation on the allowances of comprehensive car insurance contracts varied, as it granted a discount to lawyers contracting with it and the families of martyrs who perform mandatory and reserve service at a rate of 30 percent for each separately, a discount for state workers and temporary and permanent military personnel at 15 percent, and an encouraging discount for contracts issued by 10 percent.

The Corporation provided discounts as a reward for not registering an accident during one insurance year by 10%, with an increase of another 10% for not registering an accident for 3 consecutive years, and an increase of 5% for subsequent years with the provision of a free contract in the event that an accident was not declared for ten consecutive insurance years, and it grants service providers “hospitals” Doctors, pharmacists, and laboratories” have a 10% discount on car insurance premiums.

As for the administrative and organizational aspect, the Foundation increased the incentives offered to its employees to 18,000 pounds per month, and raised the percentage of incentive bonuses for them to 4 percent instead of 2 percent of salaries and wages. Damascus Branch 1 and 2 were merged under the name of Damascus branch with the aim of controlling expenses, reducing burdens, and administrative restructuring commensurate with the requirements of administrative reform.

The Foundation recently launched the interactive platform initiative on its official page and website with the aim of communicating with believers, employees and citizens to receive their suggestions and solve their problems at all levels.

It is noteworthy that the Foundation seeks to transfer its management center from the city of Homs to Damascus by amending the regulating decree No. 46 of 2005 and amending its legal form and transforming it into a joint-stock company owned by the state and following the method of decentralization in management to avoid the concentration of decision-making at a single administrative level and each official bearing his responsibility Technical, financial and administrative decisions taken by him.
