The Dow Jones Industrial Average and Standard & Poor's 500 Index hit a record high at the open today on Wall Street as fears of the mutated Omicron strain of the Corona virus eased and travel stocks rebounded.
Reuters reported that the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 182.88 points, or 0.50 percent, to 36,767.94.
As for the Standard & Poor's 500 index, it rose 13.36 points, or 0.28 percent, to 4809.92, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 2.94 points, or 0.02 percent, to 15,829.86.
