In January 2020, Emmanuel Macron received at the Élysée some 500 ETI bosses (mid-sized companies, with 250 to 4,999 employees) for the launch of the ETI Nation Strategy.
He did not yet know to what extent the projects launched on this occasion would prove to be crucial.
The need to produce in France, questions of sovereignty or even the resilience of companies were indeed at the heart of the debates.
