One of the biggest challenges of a business in the modern world is the proper and successful recruitment of employees. The recruitment process requires a significant investment of resources, which begins with the recruitment and recruitment process and continues to the training phase, until the new employee is fully ready for the job and controls it.
Ran Konstantin, Vice President at Manpower, explains that the smooth absorption of an employee is not only essential for the organization itself, but also indicates the professional level of that organization and adds to the motivation of the new employee.
So
when should you start the absorption process? (Installing a computer, arranging a work station, etc.), it is worth preparing in advance and making sure that everything is waiting and ready for the new employee's first day. On the other hand, in field positions such
as
driver, courier, technician, etc.
Do with the employee when he starts his job?
There are routine things, like getting to know the staff, the department, the organizational DNA and more, but an equally important task is a conversation to coordinate expectations with the direct manager, to define the "demarcation boundaries" of the job.

What should be avoided as part of the absorption process?
The goal is for a new employee to be hired as quickly as possible, but here lies a trap - we may push him or her and ask them to complete tasks that they do not have the appropriate professional tools to perform. In this case, the level of product will be affected so it is important to note that the new employee gets all the tools (or at least most of them) before he sets off. This way he will also be able to perform the tasks and also enjoy his work.
Who in the organization helps absorb a new employee?
Many organizations attach a mentor to a new employee, someone who is a professional in their field, who is responsible for accompanying them during the first days of the job. If the employee also has a close interface with other departments, he should also join one of the employees from those departments.
How long should the absorption process take?
This question depends on the role of course. There are positions that require several months of training and others, more initial ones (service representatives, sales, etc.), in which a few weeks of training will usually suffice.
Finally, how do you know that the absorption process has been successful?
When the products obtained are those that have been defined and when the employee feels that he has sufficient professional tools for dealing with the tasks - we know that we have succeeded.
It is advisable to have an incision call a few weeks after the end of the absorption process, to make sure that the employee feels comfortable in the organization, socially and professionally and whether his expectations of the job are met or there is a gap.
Proper clarification of these issues may prevent frustration and early separation.
