Very high speed networks
The very high speed network market is booming because it is one of the priorities in France. As shown by the Very High Speed France Plan, initiated in 2013, so that the entire territory is covered by 2022. A network is considered very high speed when the speed is greater than 30 Megabits per second at a time in reception (download) and in transmission (upload). Optical fiber offers the user a speed ranging from 30 Mbit / s to several Gbit / s. This technology is more ecological, more economical, more durable and technically more reliable than the copper formerly deployed in France. For example, optical fiber is notably lighter and insensitive to electromagnetic interference.The France Very High Speed Plan aimed to cover 80% of the population by optical fiber; the remaining 20% via third-party technologies (hybrid network, copper or radio). The objective has evolved to cover 100% of the territory with optical fiber by 2025. By the end of 2022, 87% of households will be eligible for fiber. The role of Infractive in the evolution of the market
The arrival of the fifth generation of mobile networks, 5G, succeeds the previous technologies 2G, 3G and 4G.
