Salem: The Syrian Trade has rented eight thousand tons of citrus in a week

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, confirmed that the Syrian Trade continues to procure the citrus crop until the end of the season, pointing out that the quantity traded within a week amounted to eight thousand tons.

Minister Salem explained in an interview with Al-Souria channel this evening that the institution bought the aforementioned quantity from farmers at a much higher price than what they were selling to the market, indicating that the ministry continues to monitor the markets and conduct its patrols to organize the seizures against violators and price manipulators, and that the billing system will be applied in all episodes, especially the importer or The product is the basis.

Salem attributed the weakness in the citrus export process during the current season to the non-compliance of production with the standards adopted in many Western markets with regard to pesticides on the one hand, and a number of countries placing imaginary conditions on the process of exporting the product simply because it is coming from the Syrian market only, on the other hand.

With regard to the distribution of bread in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection explained that the aim of opening new outlets for the sale of bread is to organize the process in a way that achieves balance in distribution and reduces congestion because the bakeries are not geographically distributed in a way that covers the city or its countryside, indicating that the citizen can buy Bread from the oven or approved as desired.

Salem added that the ministry is working on maintaining ovens to achieve the required quality in a loaf of bread, and it has started receiving approval requests from owners of fixed grocers in Damascus and its countryside to distribute bread, and as of the beginning of next month, it will be delivered to cars equipped after cooling it in ovens to maintain its quality, stressing that flour is available. And there is no shortage of them.

Regarding the issuance of electronic cards for singles, Salem confirmed that the matter will be looked into after excluding some segments, as the information is matched with the other concerned authorities so that everyone is fair.

Regarding the broiler material, Salem pointed out that the ministry is currently receiving requests from poultry owners to sell their production of the material to Syria for trade.
