Today only 20% of households still pay housing tax.
They nevertheless benefited from a 30% exemption in 2021, increased to 65% this year before disappearing definitively from 2023.
Although emblematic in the eyes of the general public, it is far from being the only tax to make up the tax arsenal of local authorities.
Protean, it breaks down - for direct taxes at least - into two large families: economic taxes that target businesses and so-called "household" taxes aimed at households.
Among these "household" taxes, we note:
housing tax,
The property tax on the building,
The property tax on the unbuilt,
The additional property tax on the unbuilt
Added to this are the tax (or fee) for the removal of household waste (TEOM) and the GEMAPI tax (Management of aquatic environments and prevention of flooding).
