The story of Espace & Vie serviced residences for seniors began in 2006 with the creation of the company G2L by Laurent Guillet, and the construction and then operation of a first residence in Précigné (Sarthe). A few years later, when he was looking for a promoter to concentrate on managing his residences, Laurent Guillet met Jean-Marc Trihan, president of the Lamotte group. Their collaboration gave rise to a new residency in Le Mans, in 2010, and the Espace&Vie brand, in 2011. In 2017, Lamotte joined forces for 50% of the management company G2L.

Espace&Vie now has 19 residences, mainly located in the Atlantic Arc, 320 employees and 1,500 residents. The brand is adopting a measured development plan, around five to six new residences per year. It's about building at the right pace, in the right place, while keeping a human dimension. It also chooses to establish itself in less urbanized areas, but in the immediate vicinity of city centers and services. In concrete terms, Lamotte offers installation sites, which are validated by Espace&Vie after an in-depth study. The constructions meet common specifications, perfectly adapted to the needs of seniors and territories. Next residences planned: Brest (Finistère) and Sallanches (Haute-Savoie) in March 2022. Then will come Crozon (Finistère), Andrézieux (Loire),Meulan-en-Yvelines (Yvelines)… With a two-year occupancy rate of 94%, the Espace&Vie residences have won the trust of seniors, their families and investors. As proof: the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, a first-rate French financial institution, is investing in the brand.

A wide and personalized service offer

First reason for the success of Espace&Vie senior residences: home help services. Usually managed by external service providers, these home help and support services (to get dressed, wash, do the shopping, prepare meals, etc.) have been integrated into the service offer of the Espace&Vie residences, and are accessible 24 hours a day, allowing a real adaptation to the rhythm of each resident. Catering is also managed by in-house teams. Added to this are the “classic” services: hotels, cleaning, passenger transport, reception, administration, etc. The last major component of the Espace&Vie offer: social ties. Facilitators regularly organize discussion clubs, meetings with schools, choirs or theater companies.Staff permanently present on site, 24 hours a day, completes the process of giving the residences a climate of trust and transparency.
