The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed on Thursday a decision of the criminal court which had ordered Twitter in July to detail its means of combating online hatred.

In its judgment, the Court of Appeal upheld the trial judgment and further condemns Twitter to pay 1,500 euros in damages to several associations including SOS Racism, the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA) and SOS homophobia.
Last July, the Paris court had ordered International Twitter, Irish registered company, disclosure of "
any administrative document, contractual, technical or commercial on material means and human implemented
" to "
fight against the spread of crimes of apology of crimes against humanity, incitement to racial hatred, hatred of people because of their gender
. "
The company also had to detail "
the number, location, nationality, language affected the processing of alerts from users of the French platform
", "
the number of reports
", "
criteria and the number of subsequent withdrawals
" and "
the amount of information transmitted to the competent public authorities, particularly the prosecution
."
Twitter had appealed that decision.
