Every year, 500 million euros are misappropriated by scammers offering fraudulent investment products.
Even the most cautious can be fooled.
In 2021, nearly 50% of the fraudulent proposals for savings and credit accounts identified by the French Prudential Control and Resolution Authority (ACPR) were based, in fact, on professional identity theft.
Running away from extravagant double-digit returns is no longer enough.
With rates of 3 to 5% per year, these booklets are wreaking havoc among savers.
“40% of French people think that the normal rate for a risk-free investment is 5%
,” laments Robert Ophèle, who chairs the AMF.
While this remuneration, ten times higher than that of the booklet A (0.5% per year until January 31, 2022) should alarm them.

Of these booklets, of course, but also investments in rooms of retirement homes which have the wind in their sails.
But the big trend is cryptocurrencies (bitcoins…).
