An Emirati delegation headed by Minister of Community Development Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid visited the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

During the visit today, the Emirati delegation was briefed on the exhibits in the pavilion, including a replica of the Ugarit alphabet, a visual and audio presentation of the piece "Song to Nikal", which is the oldest musical notation in history, and the other displayed artworks.

The Emirati minister expressed her admiration for the richness and diversity represented by these paintings and wooden pieces, stressing the need to strengthen trade relations between the UAE and Syria.

In turn, the Commissioner-General of the Syrian pavilion, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, stressed that the pavilion represents a wide window from which to overlook the Syrian culture and civilization, pointing out that it represents the tip of the iceberg of history and human heritage in Syria.

Since its inception, the Syrian pavilion has been visited by delegations and representatives from many countries and organizations participating or visiting the exhibition, where the pavilion's work team organizes periodic business meetings with Arab and international delegations with the aim of developing trade and economic relations with global partners.
