Gold prices in the local market rose by 3 thousand pounds per gram of 21 karat today, with the global price of an ounce rising to 1843 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmen Association for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus today, a gram of 21 karat gold recorded a selling price of 183,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 182,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price reached 156857 pounds and a purchase price of 156,357 pounds.
The association asked craftsmen to abide by the price issued by it, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin issued by the association and distributed phone numbers for complaints 224800-0991937718.
