Gold prices in the local market today decreased by four thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat from the price of last Thursday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmen Association for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 179 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 178,500 pounds, while the price of an 18-carat gram of selling amounted to 153429 pounds and the purchase price 152929 pounds.
The association asked craftsmen to abide by the price issued by it, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin, and allocated the following two numbers to submit complaints in the event of a violation: 2248005 and 0991937718.
