A note that begins with a worried observation if not fatalistic.

"The situation of French industry is critical today and we are at the time of the choices: either we engage in a real dynamic of reindustrialization of the country, or we pick up ineluctably

", observes the organization which estimates that the The current period offers an unprecedented chance for French industry to catch up with its competitors.

"We have a tremendous window of opportunity with technological breakthroughs, in particular the decarbonization of the economy, which is reshuffling the cards and will allow us to catch up,"

said Alexandre Saubot this morning on BFM Business, which is pleased that employment industry has stabilized in recent years, failing to really rebound.

Halve production taxes

To make industry competitive, France Industrie is first calling for French production taxes to be halved by lowering them by 35 billion euros, whereas they are

"six times higher than in Germany and twice as than the European average"

according to Alexandre Saubot.

Another avenue recommended by France Industrie, the creation of a “

large Ministry of Industry

” which would notably bring together technological research, energy (currently attached to the ecological transition), industry and part of the vocational high schools.

Teach more science

France Industrie particularly insists on the importance of training young people in view of the needs of the industry of tomorrow.

Starting with scientific skills.

"We must rebalance the effort on scientific and mathematical culture in initial training"

, said Alexandre Saubot Thursday, during a press conference presenting the proposals to the candidates saying he was

"worried"

about the questioning of science. , sometimes considered

“as one opinion among others”

in certain societal debates.

More expected, the development of apprenticeship is welcomed and called to be continued to make it

"the priority way of preparing for professional diplomas"

in particular by "

simplifying

" the current situation by

"merging work-study contracts and professional contracts" .

According to France Industrie, this means creating a positive image of the industrial world among young people.

Last October, Bruno Le Maire called

on “children to go to factories

” on a visit to

“build an industrial imagination”.
